A Japanese themed nursery room

After months of looking for a house to buy we have finally had an offer accepted on a really nice place. Although it will take a little while for us to be able to move in, I have already started thinking about the decor in some of the rooms. It will be so nice to finally move out of rented accommodation and be able to put our own personal touches on a place.

The most exciting room to decorate will definitely be my daughter’s nursery and I am sure it will come as no surprise that the theme of her room is going to be Japan!

Now that my daughter is over a year old she can start having a quilt in her cot so I am considering this beautiful kokeshi doll quilt from BearHugBabyQuilts on Etsy.

Although wallpapering a whole room with this would be a bit over the top, I am considering using this gorgeous cherry blossom wall paper from John Lewis on one wall of the room.
